AI for Sustainable Development is a research and book project for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In the project we presented the different artificial intelligence algorithms, analysed and classified the AI strategies of more than 50 countries around the world, and presented our vision on using AI to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda. For each SDG, we analysed what can be done with AI technologies, what the risks are and how to mitigate them. We further presented the best practices that already exist in the world. The project was developed with several partners including AIxIA, the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence
